Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) Unsalted butter, chilled
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Croissant Dough: Combine flour, butter, sugar, salt, and eggs in a mixing bowl. Knead until the dough is smooth. Chill for 30 minutes.
  • Fold and Chill: Roll out the dough and fold it into thirds. Repeat this process twice more, chilling for 15 minutes between each fold.
  • Prepare Cookie Dough: Mix sugar, butter, eggs, and chocolate chips in a separate bowl until a smooth dough forms.
  • Assemble Crookies: Roll out the croissant dough, place portions of cookie dough in the center, and fold the dough around them.
  • Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the crookies on a baking sheet and bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for 1 week. For longer storage, freeze up to 3 months.
  • Reheating: Thaw at room temperature or reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-10 minutes to restore flakiness.
